The first Lemonade Stand to benefit the Miami Rescue Mission was on March 31st, 2006. Three Miami Springs girls, ages 8-12, had such a blast and got two boys to join in another Lemonade Event the next day. With donations from the delicious lemonade served, they raised nearly $150.00! They also handed out newsletters from the Mission and peole donated even more than the cost of the Lemonade. The Lemonade Stand Ministry has grown over the last several years. They want to get more kids involved and maybe even go national. WOW!

One of the kids said,"You get to spend time with your friends while helping others that are not as fortunate in their life as we are." Isn't it great to see our youth making a difference in the lives of the homeless.

It is so heartwarming to see children getting so involved in making their community better. The Mission is honored to have them as our supporters and ambassadors.
